3rd Annual Gulf County Laundry Project

August 29, 2017 By Gloria Salinard

For people without an in-home washer & dryer, the lack of transportation or money to feed the machines the essential household chore of washing clothes and linens is problematic or impossible. Thanks to the generous donations of our members we were able to help families do 61 loads of laundry on Saturday. 32 of those loads belonged to woman named Brenda who said she had not been able to do laundry for a month. Throughout the day she thanked God for the generosity and support of the REALTOR® members. Her story shows how something as simple as laundry soap and quarters can make a big difference in the quality of someone’s life. A special thanks to our volunteers Rod Cabezas, Miranda Rollins, Gloria Salinard, and Louise with Current of Tampa Bay. Together we can add something positive to our communities. Let’s keep up the good work next year!!
