Radical Raptors—Adventures with Birds of Prey

Lynda White, Eagle Watch Coordinator (retired), Audubon Center for Birds of Prey

Here’s your opportunity to learn more about raptors, Florida’s “glamour birds.” Find out about the great diversity of raptors, their place as apex predators in our environment and role as a sentinel species.  You’ll be surprised to learn about Florida’s large Bald Eagle population. Who knew?

Lynda began volunteering as a docent at the Audubon Center and found a second career as an avian educator. When she retired four years ago, she and her husband moved to the Forgotten Coast where they spend as much time outdoors as possible.  They also enjoy traveling and are never happier than when they are on the beach. Most of their family—including their 4 grandchildren—live in nearby Tallahassee.
